Willistown Troop 78

Friday November 11th (Veterans' Day), Troop 78 hit the road for a weekend of fun and adventure at Camp Rodney on the Chesapeake Bay and at the Naval Academy in Annapolis Maryland.

We stayed at Camp Rodney Friday night and made our way to the Naval Academy Saturday morning for a tour of the Academy and a football game.

The tour was in the morning on Saturday and was conducted by Naval Academy graduates who were retired from the Navy.  We got to see the grounds of the Academy, academic buildings, the dorms, the chapel, and the crypt of John Paul Jones, naval hero.

After the tour, we had lunch and walked to the football stadium for a game between Navy and Tulsa, both ranked first in their divisions, Navy was 6 - 2 and Tulsa was 7 - 1 going into the game.  Spoiler alert: Navy won 42 - 40.

Every time Navy scored, the cadets did pushups to match the score, one for every point on the board.  So as the score mounted, so did the pushups.

It was the most beautiful day ever for November 12th with sunshine and warm temps. Much fun was had and much junk food was consumed.
